Bode's Galaxy
-
Bode's Galaxy is a grand design spiral galaxy located in the constellation Ursa Major, about 12 million light-years away. It's prominent and well-defined spiral arms are thought to be caused by the gravitational interaction with its companion galaxy M82. The central bulge of the galaxy is home to a supermassive black hole, estimated to be about 70 million times the mass of the Sun.
