  • The Coma Cluster is a massive galaxy cluster about 340 million light-years away in the constellation Coma Berenices. It contains over 1,000 galaxies, mostly ellipticals, and is one of the densest known galaxy clusters in the nearby Universe. The cluster is engulfed in a hot intracluster gas that emits X-rays, revealing the presence of large amounts of dark matter.
